Sun & Seed

This poem by Daniel C. Bryan, accompanied by eight of his own watercolours, captures the beauty and atmosphere of the growing seed as it develops from Winter sleep, through Spring sun and rain, or the splendour of Summer blossom.  Beautiful, moving illustrations, with a single image in soft but powerful vivid imagery conveys the natural process.

Nest Notes: This is a lovely book for young children, but also sweet to bring out again when a child is studying botany in elementary school.  The illustrations are gentle and spiritually uplifting.
