Hammer mill kit demonstrates the principle of mechanical energy to do work - in this case, the power supplied by a turbine or a riverwheel (purchased separately) can be transferred to the wheel of the hammermill kit via a rope, and with the rotation of the wheel, the hammers take turns pounding.
Please note: the hammermill kit is an accessory. It requires a separately purchased small waterwheel, riverwheel or turbine to make it go. You can see the riverwheel or small waterwheel pictured in some of the scenes in the water hooked up to the hammermill.
