The little Ostheimer hedgehog, like many of the other small forest animals, are often particularly endearing to young children.
We often find having both the adult and the young or baby animal is appreciated by and healthy for young children.
If you are to purchase only one hedgehog however, then the small one would be fine for a collection on its own, however, the large hedgehog is a rather pleasing chunky size.
Please note that the Ostheimer small hedgehog is also part of the Ostheimer Forest Set with diorama, so if you are planning to get this collection, you may not want to purchase it separately.
