bamboo knitting needles

These knitting needles, made from ecologically-cultivated bamboo, are 34 cm long and have a knob at the end.  They come in two thicknesses (5 and 6 mm).

The thickness refers to the diameter of the needle.  Often, children in Grade 1 will learn to knit using 6 mm diameter knitting needles.  Some projects that might suit just a touch a slightly finer knit then benefit already in Grade 1 or 2 from a 5 mm thick knitting needle as well.

Bamboo needles are known for being very smooth, and with delicately rounded pointed ends to help slip under and through, and pick up the yarn.
