Waldorf colourful blocks, 20 pc

Building blocks belong to that special class of the very first toys of little ones. Waldorf blocks are slightly irregularly shaped and stimulate the child's imagination, dexterity, and creative thinking. This set of colourful blocks is made from a variety of wood species from Europe, mainly alder and lime trees. They are dyed and oiled with gentle treatments, making them very safe for young children to put in their mouths or to play with. The surface treatment is on the one hand beautiful, and on the other hand, the wood can still be felt. The varnish is not thick and plastic-like, but rather a conscious effort is made to allow for the wood grains to be seen, and the feeling of wood in the hand. Each block is individually sanded by hand and therefore different in shape and appearance than any other. Thus, these building blocks really are ideal for young children, who feel new forms as first experiences.
