Reviews

'A gripping story that is simply packed from cover to cover with historical detail.'
-- Midwest Book Review

‘Nicely illustrated, simple enough for a young reader to get a glimpse into Scottish history. This would be a good pre-reader to those who may enjoy, but are a little too young for the “I Survived” books. 4/5’
-- Youth Services Book Review

'This is a beautifully illustrated and fun book that explores an exciting but lesser known story from Scottish history in an accessible and interesting way that parents and children will enjoy reading together.'
-- GeekMom.com

'A well-researched historical fiction treatment... This is well written and gives a good deal of information. The real star here are the gorgeous illustrations by Teresa Martinez that grace every page and complete the story. Youngsters will enjoy learning about this interesting time in the British Isles.'
